Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

Reflecting on My Life
It has been a while since I have blogged. I actually do enjoy blogging but yet again time is everything. A couple months ago I made a list of goals I would have for the new school year. These goals were created due to a retreat I went on during the summer.
Goals:
- all in care and love
the goal of the retreat was all in, then one day at our SALT meeting we found out that the school goal was ALL IN! and it hit me if I wanna be living in the light I need to be all in in everything I do. not 50% not 30% not 75% but 100%. If I loved every single person or cared for every single person 100% my life would be more fulfilled, more joy, more satisfaction, more love, and better friendships
2. ask really how you are
A lot of the time I ask how are you when I see someone, but it isn't because I care it's because that was the culture I was raised in. I don't really care how the person is, it doesn't matter to me, but how selfish is that? I need to learn to open up, actually find out what is going on in the lives of the people around me.
3. open myself up be vulnerable, that was the point of the cross † open armed hug, just like 7 bridges
if I open myself up and let others see the hurt, the pain, and everything inside me people are more likely to open up themselves to me. they are more likely to tell me what is going on in their life, they will ask for prayers and help, and that is what I am here for, yes I have problems of my own, but I am more towards helping people than helping myself, because with in helping people I learn to help myself
4. trust other more
wow! this is a big one. trusting others. it is hard to trust. I have been let down so many times and lied to so many times that it is really hard for me to trust people. I am beginning to let go of my past and I am starting to trust people more. I want to trust people, but once trust is broken it is hard to gain it back. Just like with your parents and going out and driving, once you lie to them and they find out about it that leash gets smaller and smaller and the trust is now broken, and once trust is broken its hard to gain it back
5. we are human, forgive one another
this kind of goes hand and hand with trusting people, if you loose trust, forgive them but it doesn't mean you have to trust them again. the verse Jesus said on the cross was forgive them, for they are human. WE ARE HUMAN! WE MAKE MISTAKES! no one lives a perfect life, I for sure do not live a perfect life. and God forgave me, so shouldn't I in turn be like God and forgive those around me when the sin against me? but yet why is it so difficult?
6. feed the church, one body many parts
I have a role to play in my church, in my school, in my community, on my team, etc.. but yet how do I fulfill that role in every area if I only have time for one thing? Take my team for instance, I seem to always be out of town or playing soccer when it is time for Church, but what can I do about that but quit soccer? How do I fulfill the role in my church, when I an hardly there? How do I serve my community and hang out with my neighbors and be a light when I never can? One of my friends told me if you make time for God and Jesus he will make time for everything else.
Those were my goals at the beginning of the year, do you want to know how many of those I accomplished? Maybe one, well I guess its 2013 and time to start a new year with new people. These are the goals for this year.
1) Put in the effort to make time for your friends, and maybe in return they will make time for you
2) Commit to a school that you love and want to play soccer at!
3)be open, trust and forgive others
4) spend time in the word everyday even if it is just my daily devo of Jesus Calling(thank you mom and dad)
5) pray for one specific person everyday(probs wont happen, maybe once a week)
6) find God in something everyday (probably wont happen either, but I will try!) and it can be silly like the food you eat, but find God and know he is out there!
